Ohio High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon crushes East Knox
January 10, 2024: Mt. Vernon, OH 43050 Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Knox Bulldogs (Howard, OH), 52-21 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 4-8 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Ashland (Ashland, OH) to clash with the Arrows in a Ohio Cardinal bout on Saturday, January 13. The Arrows go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Ashland won 69-59 in their recent non-league bout against Sandusky (Sandusky, OH)
Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Fredericktown Freddies (Fredericktown, OH) in a Knox Morrow bout, on Friday, January 12. East Knox will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Freddies go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 62-57 league loss to Cardington-Lincoln (Cardington, OH).
