The Sacred Heart Irish basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Johnson County Central Thunderbirds to 33 in the Irish non-league triumph on Monday.

The Irish now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Auburn for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16.

The Thunderbirds (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Weeping Water (Weeping Water, NE). The Indians enter the C2 District 1 contest with a 8-5 record.
