January 10, 2024: Baltimore, MD 21221 The Eastern Tech Mavericks (Baltimore, MD) basketball knocked off the host Chesapeake Bay Hawks (Baltimore, MD), 62-48 in Wednesday's league test.
The Mavericks (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Sparrows Point (Baltimore, MD). The Pointers go into the test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Sparrows Point notched a victory over Carver A&T (Towson, MD), 69-33, in a non-league test.
The Bay Hawks now own a 0-6 record. They play next when they travel to Pikesville for a test on Friday, January 12. Chesapeake will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 54-39 non-league loss to Dulaney (Timonium, MD). The Panthers record now stands at 4-7.
