Missouri High School Basketball - Joplin holds off Poplar Bluff
January 10, 2025: Joplin, MO 64804 The Joplin Eagles basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting Poplar Bluff Mules to 52 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.
The Eagles now have a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Central for a Central Ozarks game on Tuesday, January 14. Joplin will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 61-50 league win over Carthage (Carthage, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Poplar Bluff falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Mules travel to Life Prep (Park City, KS) to confront the Fire in a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. The Fire go into the game with a record of 9-6. Life Prep lost 58-50 in their recent non-league game against Hillcrest (Springfield, MO)
