Minnesota High School Basketball - Pine River-Backus overwhelms Laporte
January 10, 2025: Laporte, MN 56461 The Pine River-Backus Tigers basketball team scored 66 points and limited the host Laporte Wildcats to 39 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now have a 6-5 record. They play next when they travel to Crosby-Ironton for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. Pine River-Backus will confront a Rangers team coming off a 56-55 non-league loss to Two Harbors (Two Harbors, MN). The Rangers record now stands at 3-9.
With the loss, Laporte falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Bagley (Bagley, MN) to confront the Flyers in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14.
