Nevada High School Basketball - Pyramid Lake triumphant over Sage Ridge

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV) and the host Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV), observed Pyramid Lake's basketball team overwhelm Sage Ridge by a score of 73-40.

The Lakers (10-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Smith Valley (Smith, NV). The Bulldogs come into the 1A West challenge with a 12-1 record. In their last challenge, Smith Valley trounced Sage Ridge (Reno, NV), 61-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Scorpions encounter the Coleville Wolves (Coleville, CA) in a 1A West challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Sage Ridge will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 41-23 non-league loss to Mammoth (Mammoth Lakes, CA).
