California High School Basketball - Cristo Rey De La Salle can't get by Averroes
January 10, 2025: Oakland, CA 94601 Averroes Falcon (Fremont, CA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Cristo Rey De La Salle Mustangs (Oakland, CA), 32-26 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Averroes advances its record to 1-4 on the year. The Falcon travel to Making Waves Academy (Richmond, CA) to meet the Marlins in a Bay Counties - General match on Monday, January 13. The Marlins enter the match with a record of 7-1. Making Waves Academy won 37-22 in their recent league match against Redwood Christian (San Lorenzo, CA)
The Mustangs now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Patrick-St. Vincent for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 15. Cristo Rey De La Salle will meet a Bruins squad coming off a 72-29 non-league win over International (San Francisco, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 7-8.
