In Friday's league test, the Sand Creek Scorpions (Colorado Springs, CO) basketball squad defeated the host Mitchell Marauders (Colorado Springs, CO), by a final score of 37-28.

Next, the Scorpions clash with the Widefield Gladiators (Colorado Springs, CO) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 11. Sand Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Gladiators come into the test with a 5-6 record after their 50-25 non-league win over Pueblo Central (Pueblo, CO).
