In Saturday's non-league outing, the Poly Parrots (Sun Valley, CA) basketball squad nipped the visiting St. Genevieve Valiants (Panorama City, CA), by a margin of 53-48.

The Parrots (11-6) will now prepare for their outing against Grant (Van Nuys, CA). The Lancers go into the East Valley outing with a 8-7 record. In their last outing, Grant got by Highland (Palmdale, CA), 70-66, in a non-league outing.

The Valiants now own a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cathedral for a Camino Real contest on Wednesday, January 15. St. Genevieve will battle a Phantoms team coming off a 91-65 league win over St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Phantoms record now stands at 12-4.
