The Americas Trail Blazers basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Franklin Cougars to 28 in the Trail Blazers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Trail Blazers now sport a 23-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eastwood for a 6A Region I District 1 contest on Friday, January 14. Americas will meet a Troopers team coming off a 50-34 league win over Coronado (El Paso, TX). The Troopers record now stands at 18-4.

The Cougars (17-4) will now prepare for their contest against Pebble Hills (El Paso, TX). The Spartans enter the 6A Region I District 1 contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Pebble Hills triumphed over Montwood (El Paso, TX), 58-41, in a league contest.
