The R-S Central Hilltoppers basketball team scored 88 points and held the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers to 53 in the Hilltoppers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brevard for a 2A Conference 41 contest on Thursday, January 13. R-S Central will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 73-45 league loss to Patton (Morganton, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-5.

The Cavaliers (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Burns was routed by Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC), 69-41, in a league contest.
