Freer Buckaroos (Freer, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Premont Cowboys (Premont, TX), 61-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Freer upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Buckaroos host La Villa (La Villa, TX) to clash with the Cardinals in a 2A Region IV District 32 bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 4-6.

Next up, the Cowboys clash with the La Villa Cardinals (La Villa, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 32 bout, on Friday, January 14. Premont will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 94-40 league win over Ben Bolt (Ben Bolt, TX).
