Georgia High School Basketball - Telfair County can't hold off Jeff Davis
January 11, 2022: McRae, GA 31055 The Jeff Davis Yellowjackets basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host Telfair County Trojans to 43 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Toombs County for a AA Region 2 contest on Friday, January 14. Jeff Davis will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 56-54 league loss to East Laurens (East Dublin, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-11.
The Trojans (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Dooly County (Vienna, GA). The Bobcats come into the A Public Region 4 contest with a 7-2 record. In their last contest, Dooly County edged Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA), 79-64, in a league contest.
