Ohio High School Basketball - Elgin holds off KIPP Columbus
January 11, 2022: Marion, OH 43302 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) and the visiting KIPP Columbus Jaguars (Columbus, OH), saw Elgin's basketball squad hold off KIPP Columbus by a tally of 40-36.
With the victory, Elgin improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Hardin Northern (Dola, OH) to confront the Polar Bears in a Northwest Central challenge on Thursday, January 13. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a record of 2-10. Hardin Northern lost 43-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Jennings (Fort Jennings, OH)
Next up, the Jaguars confront the Danville Blue Devils (Danville, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 15. KIPP Columbus will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 9-4 record after their 60-53 league win over Northmor (Galion, OH).
