Connecticut High School Basketball - Amistad tops Coventry
January 11, 2023: New Haven, CT 06519 Amistad Wolves (New Haven, CT) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Coventry Patriots (Coventry, CT), 68-51 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Amistad upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Naugatuck (Naugatuck, CT) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Greyhounds come into the bout with a record of 6-3. Naugatuck won 52-48 in their recent league bout against St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT)
Next up, the Patriots play the Ellington Knights (Ellington, CT) in a North Central Connecticut bout, on Friday, January 13. Coventry will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 8-0 record after their 73-36 league win over East Windsor (East Windsor, CT).
