Florida High School Basketball - Wellington can't hold off Suncoast

The Suncoast Chargers basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Wellington Wolverines to 62 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Chargers now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ribault for a non-league contest on Friday, January 13. Suncoast will battle a Trojans team coming off a 62-46 non-league win over First Coast (Jacksonville, FL). The Trojans record now stands at 15-2.

The Wolverines (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against John Carroll Catholic (Fort Pierce, FL). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 11-3 record. In their last contest, John Carroll Catholic was nudged by Centennial (Port St. Lucie, FL), 71-69, in a non-league contest.
