North Carolina High School Basketball - Clayton overwhelms Sanderson

January 11, 2023: Clayton, NC 27520

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) and the visiting Sanderson Spartans (Raleigh, NC), saw Clayton's basketball squad wallop Sanderson by a tally of 58-20.

With the victory, Clayton improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Comets host South Garner (Garner, NC) to confront the Titans in a 4A Conference 26 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. South Garner lost 43-30 in their recent league challenge against Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC)

Next up, the Spartans confront the Enloe Eagles (Raleigh, NC) in a 4A Conference 28 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Sanderson will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-13 record after their 75-10 league loss to Athens Drive (Raleigh, NC).
