The Oak Ridge War Eagles (Conroe, TX) basketball nipped the visiting The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX), 48-45 in Wednesday's league test.

The War Eagles (18-6) will now prepare for their test against New Caney (New Caney, TX). The Eagles go into the 6A Region II District 13 test with a 7-17 record.

The Highlanders now own a 8-17 record. They play next when they host New Caney for a 6A Region II District 13 test on Saturday, January 14. The Woodlands will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 36-28 league loss to Willis (Willis, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 7-17.
