Oregon High School Basketball - Gervais overwhelms Chemawa Indian
January 11, 2024: Salem, OR 97305 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Gervais Cougars (Gervais, OR) and the host Chemawa Indian Braves (Salem, OR), saw Gervais's basketball squad wallop Chemawa Indian by a tally of 81-51.
With the victory, Gervais improves its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Colton (Colton, OR) to confront the Vikings in a 2A Tri-River challenge on Friday, January 12. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 9-1.
Next up, the Braves confront the Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers (Salem, OR) in a 2A Tri-River challenge, on Friday, January 12. Chemawa Indian will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 56-42 league loss to Gervais (Gervais, OR).
