Mississippi High School Basketball - East Union trounces Myrtle
January 11, 2024: Blue Springs, MS 38828 The East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) basketball crushed the visiting Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS), 75-34 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Urchins (10-7) will now prepare for their test against New Albany (New Albany, MS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, New Albany walloped Senatobia (Senatobia, MS), 71-49, in a league test.
The Hawks now own a 2-19 record. They play next when they travel to Ashland for a 1A Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 16. Myrtle will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 63-59 league loss to Falkner (Falkner, MS). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-12.
