Maryland High School Basketball - Wise overwhelms Northwestern
January 11, 2024: Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Wise Pumas (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the visiting Northwestern Wildcats (Hyattsville, MD), saw Wise's basketball squad wallop Northwestern by a tally of 77-42.
With the victory, Wise improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Pumas travel to DuVal (Lanham, MD) to play the Tigers in a Prince George's County 4A challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. DuVal won 85-67 in their recent league challenge against Flowers (Springdale, MD)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Suitland Rams (Forestville, MD) in a Prince George's County 4A challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Northwestern will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 58-54 league win over Parkdale (Riverdale, MD).
