New York High School Basketball - Wagner edges Jefferson
January 11, 2024: Staten Island, NY 10314 The Wagner Falcons (Staten Island, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Jefferson Orange Wave (Brooklyn, NY), 72-67 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Falcons (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Eagle Academy II (Brooklyn, NY). The Eagle go into the PSAL AAAA Brooklyn/Staten Island I test with a 12-3 record. In their last test, Eagle Academy II got by Canarsie (Brooklyn, NY), 77-52, in a league test.
The Orange Wave now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host South Shore for a PSAL AAAA Brooklyn/Staten Island II test on Saturday, January 13. Jefferson will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 71-61 league win over Brooklyn Collegiate (Brooklyn, NY). The Vikings record now stands at 10-6.
