Arkansas High School Basketball - Augusta tops DeWitt
January 11, 2024: Augusta, AR 72006 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Augusta Red Devils (Augusta, AR) and the visiting DeWitt Dragons (DeWitt, AR), saw Augusta's basketball squad knock off DeWitt by a tally of 57-43.
With the victory, Augusta improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Red Devils host Bradford (Bradford, AR) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 13-9. Bradford won 57-9 in their recent league challenge against Scott Charter (Scott, AR)
Next up, the Dragons play the Drew Central Pirates (Monticello, AR) in a 3A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. DeWitt will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record.
