Connecticut High School Basketball - Wethersfield nips Sports & Medical Sciences Academy
January 11, 2024: Wethersfield, CT 06109 Wethersfield Eagles (Wethersfield, CT) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sports & Medical Sciences Academy Tigers (Hartford, CT), 58-51 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Wethersfield upgrades its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host East Catholic (Manchester, CT) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 8-1.
Next up, the Tigers play the CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy of Aerospace and Engineering] Eagles (Enfield, CT) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Sports & Medical Sciences Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 40-13 league win over Hartford Magnet Trinity College Academy (Hartford, CT).
