January 11, 2025: Okemah, OK 74859 Okemah Panthers (Okemah, OK) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Checotah Wildcats (Checotah, OK), 74-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Okemah upgrades its record to 9-4 on the year. The Panthers host Sallisaw (Sallisaw, OK) to face the Black Diamonds in a non-league match on Monday, January 13. The Black Diamonds enter the match with a record of 6-5. Sallisaw won 66-60 in their recent non-league match against Beggs (Beggs, OK)
The Wildcats now sport a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sallisaw for a NOAA match on Tuesday, January 14. Checotah will face a Black Diamonds squad coming off a 57-48 non-league loss to Okemah (Okemah, OK). The Black Diamonds record now stands at 6-6.
