The Katy Taylor Mustangs basketball team scored 55 points and limited the visiting Morton Ranch Mavericks to 54 in the Mustangs league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now possess a 6-14 record. They play next when they travel to Cinco Ranch for a 6A Region III District 19 game on Wednesday, January 15. Katy Taylor will confront a Cougars team coming off a 62-56 league loss to Katy (Katy, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 21-5.

With the loss, Morton Ranch falls to 7-13 on the campaign. The Mavericks host Jordan (Fulshear, TX) to confront the Warriors in a 6A Region III District 19 game on Wednesday, January 15. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 23-2. Jordan won 66-48 in their recent league game against Mayde Creek (Houston, TX)
