The Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD) basketball edged the visiting South Lakes Seahawks (Reston, VA), 65-64 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Douglass for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout on Tuesday, January 14. Largo will play a Eagles team coming off a 65-57 non-league win over Bowie (Bowie, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, South Lakes falls to 6-2 on the campaign. The Seahawks travel to Oakton (Vienna, VA) to play the Cougars in a District 1 bout on Monday, January 13. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Oakton lost 66-51 in their recent league bout against Westfield (Chantilly, VA)
