January 11, 2025: Monticello, IL 61856 The Monticello Sages nudged the visiting Seneca Fighting Irish basketball team by a margin of 62-56 in Saturday's non-league contest.
The Sages (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Clinton (Clinton, IL). The Maroons go into the non-league contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Clinton nipped Beardstown (Beardstown, IL), 66-42, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Fighting Irish confront the Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Seneca will attempt to better on its 14-4 season record. The Coalers go into the contest with a 12-4 record after their 56-45 league win over Reed-Custer (Braidwood, IL).
