New Mexico High School Basketball - Shiprock trounced by Pojoaque Valley
January 11, 2025: Shiprock, NM 87420 Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM), 45-20 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Pojoaque Valley advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Elks/Elkettes host Miyamura (Gallup, NM) to face the Patriots in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. The Patriots enter the match with a record of 2-0. Miyamura won 49-46 in their recent non-league match against Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM)
The Chieftains now own a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Freshman Opponent for a non-league match on Monday, January 13. Shiprock will face a squad coming off a 69-65 non-league win over Buchholz (Gainesville, FL). The record now stands at 45-87.
