Iowa High School Basketball - Central Decatur fells Davis County
January 11, 2025: Leon, IA 50144 The Central Decatur Cardinals basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Davis County Mustangs to 35 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cardinals now have a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mount Ayr for a non-league game on Monday, January 13. Central Decatur will confront a Raiders team coming off a 49-40 non-league win over Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA). The Raiders record now stands at 11-0.
With the loss, Davis County falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Chariton (Chariton, IA) to confront the Chargers in a South Central game on Tuesday, January 14. The Chargers go into the game with a record of 3-6. Chariton won 66-34 in their recent non-league game against Cardinal (Eldon, IA)
