Crete Cardinals (Crete, NE) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE), 60-52 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Crete advances its record to 5-6 on the year. The Cardinals host York (York, NE) to face the Dukes in a non-league match on Friday, January 17. The Dukes enter the match with a record of 9-1.

In their next game, the Bearcats encounter the Gering Bulldogs (Gering, NE) in a B District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Scottsbluff will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 71-37 non-league loss to Bennington (Bennington, NE).
