January 11, 2025: South Coffeyville, OK 74072 Vinita Hornets (Vinita, OK) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Oklahoma Union Cougars (South Coffeyville, OK), 57-21 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Vinita upgrades its record to 6-6 on the year. The Hornets travel to Cleveland (Cleveland, OK) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Monday, January 13. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 3-6. Cleveland won 51-37 in their recent non-league match against Salina (Salina, OK)
The Cougars now sport a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dewey for a Northeast Valley match on Tuesday, January 14. Oklahoma Union will face a Bulldoggers squad coming off a 49-46 non-league loss to Caney Valley (Caney, KS). The Bulldoggers record now stands at 0-2.
