Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Barringer Blue Bears (Newark, NJ) and the visiting Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ), saw Barringer's basketball squad hold off Montclair by a count of 56-54.
With the victory, Barringer upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Blue Bears travel to Hackensack (Hackensack, NJ) to play the Comets in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 16. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 7-5.
Next up, the Mounties play the Vineland Fighting Clan (Vineland, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Montclair will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record.
