In Thursday's non-league outing, the Victor Pirates (Victor, MT) basketball squad edged the visiting Granite Prospectors (Philipsburg, MT), by a count of 44-39.

The Pirates (2-8) will now prepare for their outing against Seeley-Swan (Seeley Lake, MT). The Black Hawks go into the C District 13 outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, Seeley-Swan held off Darby (Darby, MT), 59-56, in a league outing.

The Prospectors now hold a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Twin Bridges for a C District 12 outing on Friday, January 13. Granite will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 59-39 league win over Harrison/Willow Creek (Harrison, MT). The Falcons record now stands at 6-2.
