South Dakota High School Basketball - Akron-Westfield trounces Alcester-Hudson
January 12, 2023: Alcester, SD 57001 The Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) basketball crushed the host Alcester-Hudson Cubs (Alcester, SD), 64-32 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Westerners (3-8) will now prepare for their test against Trinity Christian (Hull, IA). The Tigers go into the War Eagle test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Trinity Christian was trounced by Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA), 68-50, in a league test.
The Cubs now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Irene/Wakonda for a B Region 4 test on Thursday, January 19.
