January 12, 2023: Lake Charles, LA 70605 In Thursday's non-league outing, the Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Merryville Panthers (Merryville, LA), by a count of 69-37.
The Buccaneers (13-7) will now prepare for their outing against Acadiana (Lafayette, LA). The Rams go into the 5A District 3 outing with a 2-14 record. In their last outing, Acadiana smashed Lafayette (Lafayette, LA), 44-43, in a league outing.
The Panthers now hold a 12-8 record. They play next when they travel to Evans for a non-league outing on Friday, January 13. Merryville will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 68-67 league win over Ebarb (Noble, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-3.
