In Thursday's non-league outing, the Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE) basketball squad felled the host Chase County Longhorns (Imperial, NE), by a margin of 46-31.

The Plainsmen (6-5) will now prepare for their outing against Wauneta-Palisade (Wauneta, NE). The Broncos go into the non-league outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, Wauneta-Palisade was beaten by Southwest (Bartley, NE), 48-24, in a non-league outing.

The Longhorns now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Gothenburg for a C1 District 11 outing on Friday, January 13. Chase County will clash with a Swedes squad coming off a 58-38 league win over Cozad (Cozad, NE). The Swedes record now stands at 6-5.
