Louisiana High School Basketball - Claiborne Christian holds off Oak Grove
January 12, 2023: West Monroe, LA 71291 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Claiborne Christian Crusaders (West Monroe, LA) and the visiting Oak Grove Tigers (Oak Grove, LA), saw Claiborne Christian's basketball squad hold off Oak Grove by a tally of 50-45.
With the victory, Claiborne Christian improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Quitman (Quitman, LA) to confront the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 13. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Quitman won 72-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Ouachita Christian (Monroe, LA)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Mangham Dragons (Mangham, LA) in a 2A District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Oak Grove will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 60-51 league loss to Vidalia (Vidalia, LA).
