Iowa High School Basketball - Prairie City-Monroe knocked off by Earlham
January 12, 2023: Monroe, IA 50170 The Earlham Cardinals basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs to 47 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Cardinals now sport a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center for a West Central contest on Friday, January 13. Earlham will battle a team coming off a 64-55 league win over Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA). The record now stands at 6-5.
The Mustangs (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Nevada (Nevada, IA). The Cubs enter the Heart of Iowa - Large contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Nevada was defeated by Newton (Newton, IA), 69-45, in a non-league contest.
