The Southwestern Piasa Birds basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting First Baptist Academy to 33 in the Piasa Birds non-league victory on Thursday.

The Piasa Birds now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Olive for a non-league contest on Monday, January 16. Southwestern will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 60-24 league loss to South County (Franklin, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-14.

The (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mulberry Grove (Mulberry Grove, IL). The Aces come into the non-league contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Mulberry Grove was routed by Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL), 64-25, in a non-league contest.
