California High School Basketball - Kennedy tops Newark Memorial

January 12, 2023: Fremont, CA 94538

Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Kennedy Titans (Fremont, CA) and the visiting Newark Memorial Cougars (Newark, CA), saw Kennedy's basketball squad knock off Newark Memorial by a count of 57-42.

With the victory, Kennedy upgrades its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA) to play the Mariners in a Mission Valley challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Mariners come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Moreau Catholic won 75-53 in their recent league challenge against Washington (Fremont, CA)

Next up, the Cougars play the James Logan Colts (Union City, CA) in a Mission Valley challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Newark Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 83-57 league win over Irvington (Fremont, CA).
