January 12, 2023: Capitol Heights, MD 20743 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Douglass Eagles (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the host Central Falcons (Capitol Heights, MD), saw Douglass's basketball squad hold off Central by a count of 41-34.
With the victory, Douglass upgrades its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Eagles host Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD) to play the Clippers in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Clippers come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. Oxon Hill won 59-29 in their recent league challenge against Gwynn Park (Brandywine, MD)
Next up, the Falcons play the Crossland Cavaliers (Temple Hills, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 67-7 league loss to Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD).
