Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Holy Cross Crusaders (Dunmore, PA), 54-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Lakeland upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Chiefs host Old Forge (Old Forge, PA) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Lackawanna 3 bout on Monday, January 16. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Old Forge won 64-57 in their recent league bout against Carbondale Area (Carbondale, PA)
