January 12, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28277 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Carmel Christian Cougars (Matthews, NC) and the host Charlotte Latin Hawks (Charlotte, NC), saw Carmel Christian's basketball squad knock off Charlotte Latin by a count of 59-43.
With the victory, Carmel Christian upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Wesleyan Christian Academy lost 63-61 in their recent league challenge against Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC)
Next up, the Hawks play the Charlotte Country Day School Buccaneers (Charlotte, NC) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Charlotte Latin will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 64-63 league win over Cannon (Concord, NC).
