New Mexico High School Basketball - Fort Hancock overwhelmed by Chaparral
January 12, 2024: Chaparral, NM 88081 The Chaparral Lobos basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Fort Hancock Mustangs to 44 in the Lobos non-league victory on Friday.
The Lobos now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host El Paso Leadership Academy East for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 13. Chaparral will battle a Leaders team coming off a 42-27 non-league win over Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM). The Leaders record now stands at 2-3.
The Mustangs (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Fabens (Fabens, TX). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Fabens was routed by Mountain View (El Paso, TX), 73-36, in a league contest.
