Mississippi High School Basketball - Hickory Flat crushes Strayhorn
January 12, 2024: Sarah, MS 38665 Hickory Flat Rebels (Hickory Flat, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Strayhorn Mustangs (Sarah, MS), 72-49 in a league bout.
With the victory, Hickory Flat upgrades its record to 14-9 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Potts Camp (Potts Camp, MS) to play the Cardinals in a 1A Region 3 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 12-9. Potts Camp lost 80-66 in their recent non-league bout against Byers (Holly Springs, MS)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS) in a 1A Region 3 bout, on Thursday, January 18. Strayhorn will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
