In Friday's league outing, the Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) basketball squad edged the host Canyon Cowboys (Canyon Country, CA), by a count of 52-47.

The Centurions (14-8) will now prepare for their outing against Valencia (Valencia, CA). The Vikings go into the Foothill outing with a 8-13 record. In their last outing, Valencia was tipped by Hart (Newhall, CA), 74-53, in a league outing.

The Cowboys now hold a 10-12 record. They play next when they travel to West Ranch for a Foothill outing on Tuesday, January 16. Canyon will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 55-16 league win over Castaic (Castaic, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-8.
