The Covington Lions basketball team scored 59 points and held the host East Jefferson Warriors to 26 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Hammond for a 5A District 6 bout on Tuesday, January 16. Covington will play a Tornadoes squad coming off a 52-41 non-league loss to East Ascension (Gonzales, LA). The Tornadoes record now stands at 12-9.

Next up, the Warriors play the Livingston Collegiate Academy Wolves (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. East Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record.
