Ooltewah Owls (Ooltewah, TN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Brainerd Panthers (Chattanooga, TN), 59-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ooltewah upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Rhea County (Evensville, TN) to play the Golden Eagles in a 4A District 5 bout on Friday, January 14. The Golden Eagles come into the bout with a record of 3-6.

Next up, the Panthers play the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots (Chattanooga, TN) in a 2A District 4 bout, on Friday, January 21. Brainerd will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
