In Thursday's league outing, the Elgin Comets (Marion, OH) basketball squad felled the host Hardin Northern Polar Bears (Dola, OH), by a margin of 41-30.

The Comets (9-8) will now prepare for their outing against Ridgedale (Morral, OH). The Rockets go into the Northwest Central outing with a 6-4 record.

The Polar Bears now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they host McComb for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 18. Hardin Northern will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 28-26 league loss to Cory-Rawson (Rawson, OH). The Panthers record now stands at 3-7.
